Hackmanite is a rare mineral that is in the Sodalite family. This mineral most often occurs as white, but can also be found in other colors such as grey, green, yellow, violet, pink, and blue. Some pieces change color in the sunlight (a rare phenomenon in the mineral world) and all are highly fluorescent under UV light.
