Amphibole is a rare inclusion in Quartz, and an umbrella terms that encompasses a combination of many different inclusions. These include richterite, actinolite, hornblende, and tremolite, along with minerals such as hematite, kaolinite, limonite, and lithium. Depending on the concentration of minerals, the stone appears stunning shades of red, white, orange, brown, yellow, green or blue. The presence of these minerals gives rise to wispy smoke or hair-like inclusions for which this stone is also known as angel phantom quartz.

These towers are actinolite heavy, giving them a blue color, with streaks reminiscent of rutile.
