Very rare and highly sought after Purple Calcite from Daye County. Purple Calcites are very rare in general with only a few locales worldwide. The world famous Fengjiashan mine has produced a pocket of this material each year for the last three years, all of which are very different aesthetically.
This XXL Statement specimen is from the 2023 find, known for their 'chocolate' cores and hematite inclusions. This collectors piece features a combination of gemmy lavender Calcites and red diamond Calcites and is dusted with red and black hematite sparkle on the surface (must see video!). This was one of the largest pieces from that find, and this variety has since been mined out. There is very minimal damage on the Calcite crystals; it's overall in phenomenal condition.
