Thulite is a rare variety of Zoisite, sometimes also called 'Rosaline Zoisite' and is beloved for its vibrant pink to rosey-red hues caused by manganese inclusions. Originally discovered in 1820 in Norway, it is still the country's national gemstone.
Thulite was named after the mythical island of 'Thule'.
